Our Childcare Programs Near You in Omaha, Lincoln & Papillion, NE

Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K & School-Age Programs

At Hamilton Heights Child Development Centers, we offer a comprehensive range of programs designed to support children’s growth from infancy through school age. Our play-based, child-centered approach ensures that each child learns and develops in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Infant Care

Infant Program

(6 weeks – 18 months)

Our infant program focuses on building strong, nurturing relationships between caregivers and infants, fostering a sense of safety and security. Caregivers support each child’s individual milestones and provide hands-on sensory experiences that encourage growth and learning.

Toddlers

Toddler Program

(18 months – 3 years)

In our toddler program, we nurture each child’s individual growth and encourage new discoveries. Toddlers learn self-help skills, build language, and begin to share, follow directions, and learn from others. Daily activities are designed to engage their natural curiosity and promote exploration.

Preschool

Preschool Program

(3 – 4 years)

Our preschool program focuses on the holistic development of children—physical, intellectual, social, and emotional. The child-centered curriculum is based on the actual interests of the children, with daily activities including large group interactions, small group work, and individual choice time. Classrooms are set up in learning centers such as blocks, dramatic play, art, library, discovery, sand and water, music, and movement. Outdoor play is an integral part of the daily routine.
Pre-K

Pre-Kindergarten Program

(4 – 5 years)

Designed for children preparing to enter kindergarten, our Pre-K program emphasizes emotional, social, and academic readiness. Teachers create lesson plans based on children’s interests, incorporating large group interactions, small group activities, and individual choice time. Learning centers include building, dramatic play, art, library, discovery, sand and water, music, and movement. Daily outdoor exploration is encouraged.
School Age

School Age Program

(5 – 12 years)

Our school-age program is available in select locations and offers before and after school care during the academic year, providing a variety of relaxing and recreational activities, snacks, and homework assistance. We also offer bus transportation to and from designated schools. During the summer, we provide a full-day, action-packed program with activities and clubs based on children’s interests, including cooking, woodworking, science, art, math, dramatic play, and sports. Weekly field trips are also part of the summer experience.

Our Curriculum & Approach

At our centers, we proudly use The Creative Curriculum®, a nationally recognized, research-based early childhood curriculum that guides our teaching. Our approach is:

  • Play-based: Learning happens through joyful, hands-on exploration.
  • Child-centered: Activities build on each child’s interests and developmental stage.
  • Focused on the whole child: We nurture physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and creative growth.
  • Balanced: A thoughtful mix of teacher-guided learning and child-led discovery.

Our teachers engage the children in rich, meaningful experiences across literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, and social-emotional development. We avoid worksheets; instead, young learners build, explore, create, problem-solve, and collaborate every day.

Teachers observe children year-round, using developmental assessments to track progress and set personalized goals. Families receive regular updates, progress reports, and opportunities for parent-teacher conferences. Our school-age program adapts The Creative Curriculum® framework to suit older children’s interests and needs.
